Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with SEND.
• Supporting pupils within lessons and in alternative learning environments.

• Supporting students with emotional regulation and transitions between lessons.
• Monitoring progress and behaviour, providing feedback to staff where appropriate.
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive social interactions.

Contract: Full-time, long-term temp-to-perm (Full Academic Year)

Long Term Futures is recruiting for a committed and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join a secondary school in Birmingham, supporting students with SEND. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

About the Role

Working closely with teaching staff, the SENCo, and pastoral teams, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with SEND
• Supporting pupils within lessons and in alternative learning environments
• Assisting with the delivery of structured and engaging lessons
• Implementing strategies to support behaviour, engagement, and learning
• Supporting students with emotional regulation and transitions between lessons
