Job summary

The Football Association is seeking a Digital Systems Developer for FA Learning to shape and enhance the learning platforms that support football education across the game. You will configure resources in the LXP, manage user access and learner groups, and utilise APIs and automation to improve learner journeys.

You will work closely with the Learning & Innovation team and Digital & Technology colleagues to deliver FA Learning's strategic ambitions, support testing, governance, and training,

Qualifications

• Proven experience configuring and administering enterprise learning platforms (LMS/LXP) and associated learning technologies.
• Ability to assess impact of system configuration changes on user experience and business processes.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving complex system configuration and functional issues.
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective system configuration solutions.
• Experience planning, executing and documenting system testing, quality assurance and user acceptance testing.

Responsibilities

• Configure and administer the LXP and related digital learning platforms across FA Learning.
• Set up and configure resources, experiences, user management, roles, permissions and learner groups.
• Use APIs, webhooks and automation tools to support learner journeys and integrations.
• Identify and resolve system issues, update code, and coordinate with external vendors as needed.
• Generate regular and ad‑hoc reports for decision making and metrics.
• Train and support FA Learning teams on system functionality and best practices.
• Contribute to the FA Learning Systems Roadmap through testing and configuration of changes.
• Evaluate configuration requests and provide solution design recommendations.
• Maintain QA processes for learning content and LXP configuration.
• Help establish system governance policies, procedures, and standards.
