Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is recruiting a Learning Mentor to work within specialist education settings in the Dursley (GL11) area. Vision for Education is looking to recruit a Learning Mentor to work within specialist education settings across the Dursley (GL11) area. About the Learning Mentor Role

As a Learning Mentor, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support, including those with SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD and other learning or behavioural needs.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support
  • Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours
  • Encouraging engagement both inside and outside the classroom
  • Supporting emotional wellbeing and self-regulation
  • Working alongside teachers and support staff to deliver personalised support
  • Building positive relationships that help pupils achieve their full potential

Training & Development

Requirements

To be considered for this Learning Mentor role, you should:

  • Have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people
  • Be patient, reliable and resilient
  • Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Be willing to learn and develop professionally
  • Be able to provide suitable references
  • Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check
  • Have the Right to Work in the UK

Experience in education, care, coaching, youth work, mentoring or support work is desirable but not essential.
