Job summary

Ribbons and Reeves Limited is seeking a Learning Mentor in Tower Hamlets to join a specialist SEND school on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. You will provide tailored academic and pastoral support to pupils with Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties, working with teachers and therapists to promote confidence and engagement, both in and out of the classroom.

This is a hands-on, supportive role within a nurturing community, with specialist SEND training and strong staffing.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND in education or related settings.
• Patient, empathetic and proactive approach to support learning.
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with pupils and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored academic and pastoral support to pupils in and out of class.
• Collaborate with teachers and teaching assistants to plan interventions.

Learning Mentor What the Role Involves

As a Learning Mentor, you'll provide tailored academic and pastoral support to pupils both in and out of the classroom. Working closely with teachers and Teaching Assistants, you'll help pupils develop confidence, resilience and independence while encouraging positive engagement with learning. You'll also contribute to behaviour support strategies, intervention programmes and communication with families where appropriate.

Learning Mentor What the School is Looking For

The ideal Learning Mentor will have experience working with children or young people with SEND, either within education or transferable settings such as youth work, residential care or community support. The school is looking for a patient, empathetic and proactive Learning Mentor who can build meaningful relationships and support pupils to achieve both academically and personally.

Learning Mentor Salary and Contract Info

• £105£120 per day, dependent on experience
• Full-time, temp-to-perm contract
