Job summary

United Response, through ROC College in Devon, seeks a Learning Mentor to support 16–25-year-old students with EHCPs. The role focuses on developing life skills in local learning hubs, libraries, workplaces, and community venues. You will assess progress and help deliver accredited learning within a personalised curriculum.

Ideal candidates have SEND experience, patience, and creativity, with PBS knowledge preferred. You may travel across the community to work with students.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals with SEND.
  • Patient, supportive, enthusiastic and creative, able to tailor education content.
  • Willingness to travel across the community with students.
  • Experience with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and promoting lifelong learning.
  • Understanding of complex behavioural needs is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Support students aged 16-25 with EHCPs to develop life skills in community settings.
  • Assess student progress and outcomes and help provide accredited learning.
  • Contribute to a personalised curriculum and monitor student development.
  • Travel across the community to work with learners in various settings.
