Job summary

United Response is recruiting a Learning Tutor for ROC College in Torbay to deliver personalised teaching for students with SEND. The role involves one-to-one and small group sessions, focused on independence and life skills, under the Curriculum Manager.

The ideal candidate will hold GCSEs in English and Maths, AET Level 3, and experience creating bespoke plans; strong communication and behaviour management are essential.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (A-C) in English and Maths or equivalent.
• AET Level 3 teaching/tutoring certification.
• Experience creating and delivering bespoke learning plans.
• Strong communication skills and behaviour management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one and small group sessions with tailored curriculums.
• Support students to develop life skills such as finance, health and independent living.
• Collaborate with Learning Mentors, Curriculum Managers, and external professionals.
• Implement engaging learning activities across classroom and community settings.
• Monitor progress and adapt plans to promote independence and confidence.
