Job summary

Think FE is recruiting a Learning Mentor for a forward-thinking further education college in Warwickshire. The role involves mentoring students with SEND, providing practical and academic support inside and outside the classroom, and acting as a key worker for EHCP students.

This is a permanent, term-time only position, 35 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have Level 2 English and Maths, strong communication skills, and the ability to support students to become independent learners in a

Qualifications

• Level 2 English and Maths required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with IT and common software.
• Ability to motivate and support learners.
• Strong organisational and record‑keeping abilities.
• Safeguarding awareness or willingness to develop.

Responsibilities

• Provide in‑class and one‑to‑one mentoring support for students with SEND.
• Support students to become confident and independent learners.
• Act as a key worker for designated EHCP students and contribute to annual reviews.
• Collaborate with teaching, tutorial and SEND colleagues to monitor targets and progress.
• Help students manage deadlines and catch up with missed work.
• Support students during work experience placements and educational trips.
