Bright Futures in Sutton Manor, St Helens, is seeking a Learning Mentor to support pupils aged 5-19 with autism and other needs. You will work under the Class Teacher to create a safe, inclusive learning environment and tailor support to individual pupils.
The role focuses on developing life and learning skills, building positive relationships with pupils and families, and helping every pupil reach their full potential. A comprehensive induction will be provided, with term-time only scheduling.

As a Learning Mentor, you will:
Play a key role in creating a positive and supportive learning environment
Provide tailored, individualised support to pupils
Encourage the development of essential life and learning skills
Support pupils to reach their full potential.
Working under the direction of the Class Teacher, you will undertake all general day-to-day activities with pupils in the classroom, ensuring every pupil's individual needs are met.

You will play an integral role in supporting both pupils and the wider school community, undertaking a range of learning support and general duties.
A comprehensive induction and training programme will be provided to support your success in the role.
You must demonstrate that you meet all of the essential experience, knowledge and personal qualities criteria on the person specification, using practical examples.
Please note: this role is term-time only and the salary is as stated (i.e. not pro rata). Annual leave must be taken during school closure periods.
