Job summary

Ivy Resource Group in Stroud is recruiting a Learning Mentor to support KS3 and KS4 students in an Alternative Provision.

You will provide one-to-one and small group mentoring, help students engage with learning, build confidence and resilience, and work with teachers and SEN staff to support individual plans. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for travel between sites and supporting off-site activities.

Qualifications

• At least 30 days' experience working with children or young people.
• Experience supporting students with additional needs, SEMH needs or challenging behaviour is desirable.
• A calm, compassionate and positive approach.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to motivate, encourage and inspire young people.
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential
• A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers and succeed.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one and small group mentoring to students.

• Promoting positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and effective coping strategies.

• Supporting educational visits and off-site activities where required.

Location: Stroud
Pay: £90-£115 per day + Holiday Pay (12.07% of your day rate is accrued into your holiday pot)
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term

We're recruiting a Learning Mentor to join a welcoming Alternative Provision in Stroud, supporting Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students who benefit from additional guidance both in and out of the classroom.
