Job summary

Reeson Education is seeking a Learning Mentor for a primary school in Brent, to start from October 2026. The role focuses on supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, helping with academic, social and emotional development. The successful candidate will promote wellbeing, positive behaviour and resilience.

Ideal candidates may have a psychology background and a passion for working with children, with a collaborative approach alongside teachers, SEN staff and social workers.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH and challenging home lives.
• Ability to build relationships and support positive behaviour.
• Willingness to work with teachers, SEN staff and social workers.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with challenging homelives and SEMH.
• Build strong, trusting relationships to support confidence, motivation and positive behaviour.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, pastoral teams and social workers to deliver targeted support.
• Contribute to a calm, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
• Adapt flexibly to the needs of the pupils and the school day.
