Milk Education are recruiting on behalf of a Special School in Leeds that provides education for pupils with Autism, Learning Disabilities and SEMH Issues. The school, which is based in North Leeds, is recruiting for a full-time Learning Disabilities Teaching Assistant that will work term time only, 08:30 - 15:30 Monday - Friday. As a Learning Disabilities Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the Class Teacher with delivering the lessons, keeping pupils engaged, managing behaviour and in some cases assisting with feeding and changing depending on the needs of the pupils in the class. This would be an amazing opportunity for somebody that is currently working in Adult Health and Social Care that wants to work with children, as well as working more sociable hours, or for someone already working with children and young people in an educational setting or residential setting. We are also accepting applications from graduates in a relevant field.
