Job summary

West Midlands and Worcestershire Perm Hub in Redditch seeks an experienced Training & Development Manager to lead and develop our learning and development function. This role shapes the training strategy to empower employees with the skills, knowledge and development opportunities needed to succeed.

You will design, implement and continuously improve training programmes that support operational excellence, employee engagement and long-term workforce development.

Qualifications

• Experience as Training & Development Manager or equivalent leadership role.
• Knowledge of apprenticeship standards and workforce development.
• Experience designing training strategies and learning frameworks.
• Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the learning and development function to shape training strategy.
• Design, implement and improve training programmes across the business.
• Conduct training needs analyses and develop individual development plans.
• Coordinate apprenticeship programmes with external providers.
• Lead leadership and management development initiatives.
• Develop skills matrices and support succession planning.
• Monitor KPIs, report on training metrics and ensure compliance.
