Job summary

West Midlands and Worcestershire Perm Hub is seeking a proactive Training & Development Manager to lead the learning and development function from Redditch, Worcestershire. You will design and implement training programmes, manage induction for new starters, and drive workforce development to support operational excellence.

The role requires developing strategies, conducting needs analyses, and leading the PDR process, with a strong focus on apprenticeship programmes and KPIs.

Qualifications

• Experience as Training & Development Manager or similar
• Ability to design and implement training strategies
• Experience conducting training needs analyses and competency assessments
• Knowledge of apprenticeship standards and workforce development
• Strong performance management and PDR process knowledge
• Experience creating skills matrices and succession planning frameworks
• Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency with MS Office and LMS/HR systems

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop our training and development function
• Design, implement and continuously improve training programmes
• Manage induction for new starters and apprenticeship programmes
• Conduct training needs analyses across departments
• Create and maintain individual development plans
• Lead leadership and management development initiatives
• Develop skills matrices and succession planning frameworks
• Oversee PDR process and training KPIs
• Ensure training records are accurate and compliant
• Collaborate with managers to foster a culture of learning
