Job summary

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND school in Wakefield that supports children and young people with complex needs across KS1 / KS1 through to KS4. The school provides a supportive environment where pupils can access education alongside the individual care they require.

The school is looking to take on a Learning Care Assistant for short or long-term work, supporting pupils with complex needs throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with complex needs (≤140 chars).
• Previous experience providing intimate and personal care (≤140 chars).
• Experience supporting pupils within a SEND or care environment (≤140 chars).
• A patient, caring and resilient approach (≤140 chars).
• Confidence supporting pupils across KS1 to KS4 (≤140 chars).
• Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team (≤140 chars).

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with complex needs throughout the school day.
• Provide intimate and personal care as part of daily activities.
• Promote independence and help pupils access activities safely.

The school provides a supportive environment where pupils can access education alongside the individual care they require.

The school is looking to take on a Learning Care Assistant for short or long-term work, supporting pupils with complex needs throughout the school day. The successful Learning Care Assistant will provide learning support alongside intimate and personal care, helping pupils access activities safely and promoting their independence wherever possible.

The successful Learning Care Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with complex needs
• Previous experience providing intimate and personal care
• Experience supporting pupils within a SEND or care environment
• A patient, caring and resilient approach
• Confidence supporting pupils across KS1 to KS4
• The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team
