Purpose of the role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Learning & Development Partner to join our HR Support Services team. Based at our Head Office in Solihull (B37 7YB) with UK travel required, you will be responsible for delivering our training strategy, ensuring compliance, and supporting the growth of our people across all levels of the organization.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of learning at Colas, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to build capability and support career development.
Main Responsibilities
In collaboration with business leaders, you will identify and prioritize training needs, coordinate training requests, support the implementation of the L&D strategy, design and deliver bespoke leadership and management programs, evaluate training effectiveness, manage relationships with training providers, support apprenticeship and graduate programs, and maintain training matrices aligned with the Learning Management System. You will also contribute to continuous improvement of L&D processes, systems, and policies.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of CIPD Level 3 qualification in Learning and Development, proven experience in a consultative or specialist L&D role, strong understanding of the full learning cycle and talent development strategies, excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems, and experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of apprenticeship schemes, funding, and industry training standards is desirable. Experience in construction or industrial sectors is an advantage but not essential.
