Purpose of the role
Are you passionate about developing people and driving impactful learning initiatives? We are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Partner to join our HR Support Services team. Based at our Head Office in Solihull (B37 7YB), with UK travel required, you will deliver our training strategy, ensure compliance, and support growth across all organizational levels.
This role offers the chance to shape learning at Colas, working with internal and external partners to build capability and support career development.
Main Responsibilities
Work with business leaders to identify training needs, manage training requests, and maintain accurate records. Support the implementation of the L&D strategy, design and deliver leadership and management programs, evaluate training effectiveness, and manage relationships with training providers, including contracts and SLAs. Assist with apprenticeship and graduate programs, audits, and budget reviews. Maintain training matrices aligned with the Learning Management System and contribute to continuous improvement of L&D processes, systems, and policies.
Ideal Candidate
Minimum CIPD Level 3 qualification in Learning and Development, with proven experience in a consultative or specialist L&D role. Strong understanding of the full learning cycle, talent development, excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems, with experience managing multiple projects. Knowledge of apprenticeship schemes, funding, and industry standards is desirable. Sector experience in construction or industrial fields is a plus but not essential.
