Job summary

The Forward Trust is seeking a Learning and Development Facilitator for a part-time, primarily remote role with occasional travel to services in the Vauxhall area. The role supports delivery across virtual, hybrid and in-person formats, covering induction, mandatory training, EDI, leadership development and trauma-informed modules.

  • Support scheduling, attendance, certificates and LMS updates with the admin team.

Learning and Development Facilitator : Part Time : Remote/Hybrid (Occasional travel to services)

Location: Vauxhall

Salary : A GBP 22,568 per annum

About The Role

Help shape confident practice through powerful, purpose:led learning.

We're looking for a L and D Training Facilitator to join our team in Vauxhall (This is a primarily remote role, with occasional travel required to visit services/sites as needed.), working part:time (28 hours per week over 4 days). This is a hands:on facilitation role where youll deliver engaging, inclusive and consistent learning across the organisation:helping staff build the therapeutic knowledge and practical skills they need to support clients effectively.

Working closely with the L and D Manager, youll deliver training across virtual, hybrid and face:to:face formats, ensuring learning is accessible, well:timed, and aligned with operational needs. Your work will span everything from mandatory and compliance training to induction, EDI, leadership and management development, as well as specialist modules covering recovery, trauma:informed practice, justice, housing, clinical and employment services.

What you'll be doing
  • Deliver engaging training across a range of audiences and formats
  • Facilitate core programmes including induction, compliance, EDI, leadership and behavioural skills
  • Deliver therapeutic and recovery:focused learning (e.g. trauma:informed care, motivational approaches, psychosocial support)
  • Adapt content into practical, real:world learning staff can apply immediately
  • Work across a cross:cover model to maintain seamless delivery across the team
  • Collaborate with SMEs and L and D colleagues to keep content accurate, relevant and aligned
Behind the scenes
  • Prepare lesson plans, resources and learning materials with accessibility in mind
  • Support scheduling, attendance, certificates and LMS updates alongside the admin team
  • Collect learner feedback and contribute to evaluation and impact reporting
  • Maintain compliance with safeguarding, GDPR, and organisational standards
What we're looking for
  • Experience delivering training in health, social care, justice, recovery or education settings
  • Confident facilitation skills across both virtual and in:person environments
  • Ability to make complex therapeutic concepts simple, engaging and practical
  • Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable using MS Office, LMS platforms and virtual delivery tools (Teams/Zoom)
Nice to have
  • Understanding of addiction, trauma:informed or recovery:oriented practice
  • Experience of working within, or alongside, prison, probation or wider criminal justice services (desirable)
  • Experience with blended learning or accredited programmes
  • L and D qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
