Job description
Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support for learning events, whether in person, virtual or hybrid including making room, equipment and catering bookings
  • Effectively communicate upcoming training events, resources and other L&D opportunities to the firm using Canva templates and firm branding
  • Work with the L&D Manager to collate feedback on L&D events to help with adjustments or improvements
  • Assist with updates to our internal web pages
  • Respond to general email queries from members of the firm and external trainers
  • Upload L&D invoices to the payments system (Chrome River) for authorisation and payment and process expenses as required
  • Assist with team diary management
  • Take and compile minutes during meetings/update our OneNote records
  • Support the L&D Manager in maintaining the L&D spreadsheets recording L&D events, cost, study support arrangements etc
  • Administer the firm's LMS, ensuring accurate data entry and content organisation; creation or maintenance of reporting on attendance, engagement and other uses of the platform
  • Develop a User Manual for the firm's LMS containing internal processes to provide a comprehensive understanding of how it is used
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of training materials, editing and formatting
  • Identify and analyse learning needs to establish team and individual capability and learning gaps, in line with organisational performance outcomes
  • Use sound questioning and active listening skills to understand requirements and establish root causes of learning needs
  • Consult with stakeholders to draw out relevant information and provide feedback to inform learning and training needs requirements
  • Use effective analytical skills to seek out and analyse information; take ownership through to resolution, escalating complex situations as appropriate
  • Design, construct and structure training/learning resources to meet a variety of needs, including digital/online/blended solutions
  • Plan programmes / sessions / modules; select appropriate delivery methods; design engaging and inclusive learning activities
  • Develop materials and resources to support learning
  • Confidently engage all learners in structured learner-centred training, primarily of content-driven resources
  • Plan, organise and prepare for training/learning events in a timely fashion
  • Interact with learners of varying abilities, using a broad range of techniques and carefully planned questioning techniques
  • Facilitate and deliver learning in face-to-face, blended and digital environments as appropriate
  • Monitor a learner’s progress and deliver motivational and developmental feedback
  • Manage participation, attitudes and behaviours to reach learning objectives
  • Use effective coaching skills to enable learners to achieve learning objectives
  • Evaluate the impact of learning solutions and measure development initiatives for effectiveness, business relevance and efficiency
  • Build evaluation mechanisms for learning outcomes using quantitative and qualitative feedback where appropriate
  • Apply techniques to analyse the impact of training from learners’ experience
  • Communicate and influence through a range of media and adapt style to the audience
  • Build trust and sound relationships with customers/learners/colleagues; handle conflict and sensitive situations professionally and confidentially
  • Consistently support colleagues and collaborate within the team and L&D to achieve results; build and maintain relationships with the L&D team, HR and the wider business as required
Qualifications and Skills
  • GCSE English (grade 5/B) and Maths (grade 5/B) or equivalent
  • A Level or equivalent qualifications; willingness to pursue a Level 3 Learning and Development Apprenticeship Standard
