Job summary

Oaklands College in Hertfordshire is recruiting for a role within the Bids and New Projects department to support adult learners from enquiry through enrolment to programme completion.

The post-holder will manage a caseload, ensure compliant funding records, and develop referral links with Jobcentre Plus, charities and employers as part of a growth phase. Safeguarding and inclusion remain central to the work.

Qualifications

• Confident communicator who adapts style to learners, employers, partners and colleagues.
• Highly organised, managing multiple priorities and large volumes of documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate, compliant record-keeping.
• Supportive, learner-centred guidance throughout the learning journey.
• Excellent IT skills including Teams, Office, CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Advise prospective learners on suitable professional training programmes.
• Coordinate and manage enrolments, applications and onboarding in line with funding and audit requirements.
• Manage a caseload of learners through their programme with guidance and pastoral support.
• Provide support beyond programme completion to achieve positive outcomes.
• Build and maintain relationships with Jobcentre Plus, charities and employers.
• Generate learner referrals and widen participation through networking and partnerships.
• Promote Oaklands Professional Training across Hertfordshire.
• Maintain learner records and monitor engagement.
• Collect and submit funding evidence and compliance documentation on time.
• Contribute to continuous improvement within the Professional Training team.
• Keep safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion central to the work.
