Job summary

Winberry in Brierley Hill is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to drive Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement across manufacturing and logistics. You will apply structured problem-solving to deliver measurable gains in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.

The role partners with Manufacturing, Warehousing and Quality teams to develop processes and engineering solutions, supporting ongoing operational improvements.

Qualifications

• HNC in Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Formal Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement training.
• Minimum five years in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
• Experience delivering improvements in assembly manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings; IT skills incl. Excel; ERP experience preferred (QAD).

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement improvements across manufacturing, assembly and logistics using Lean and Continuous Improvement tools.
• Lead root cause analysis and develop effective, sustainable solutions to operational issues.
• Improve equipment, tooling and manufacturing processes to increase productivity and quality.
• Develop and implement engineering changes in line with ISO 13485 medical device quality controls.
• Provide engineering support to production and maintain accurate drawings and work instructions.
• Work collaboratively across departments to deliver improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
