Job summary

Progressive is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join its engineering and operations team near Stevenage. You will drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement across a high-volume site, collaborating with Production, Quality and Engineering to boost productivity and reduce waste.

The role covers process improvement, NPI support, and equipment enhancements, offering exposure to Kaizen and DFMEA/PFMEA activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Manufacturing/Production environment
• Exposure to Lean/CI methods like Kaizen, Six Sigma, DMAIC
• Ability to analyze processes and drive improvements

Responsibilities

• Deliver Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Support process optimisation and waste reduction activities
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective actions
• Assist with NPI activities and DFMEA/PFMEA support
• Improve manufacturing equipment, tooling and fixtures
• Collaborate with production, quality and engineering teams on technical challenges
• Contribute to cost reduction and operational excellence projects
