Job summary
North West Trucks, a prominent DAF franchise operating in Warrington, is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to lead a busy workshop and drive performance. You will manage technicians and apprentices, coach staff, monitor productivity, and ensure repairs meet manufacturer and company standards while upholding health and safety best practices.

Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Workshop Manager or similar in the commercial vehicle/auto sector.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
- Proven track record of improving workshop performance and meeting targets.
- Full UK driving licence (HGV advantageous but not essential).
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operation of the workshop, scheduling technicians.
- Lead and develop a team of technicians, apprentices and workshop staff.
- Monitor productivity and performance against targets.
- Ensure repairs and maintenance meet manufacturer and company standards.
- Maintain health and safety and workshop best practices.
- Work with the Service Department to deliver excellent customer service.
- Monitor work in progress and ensure timely completion.
- Oversee quality control and resolve technical issues as needed.
- Support recruitment and performance management of staff.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in workshop performance.
