Job summary

Eastbourne-based accident repair centre is seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to lead daily workshop operations, allocate jobs and ensure high-quality repairs.

With MET Technician experience and a hands-on leadership style, you will mentor the workshop team, uphold health and safety standards, and liaise with customers to maintain smooth workflow. Monday–Friday, 38k salary, no weekend work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' shop floor experience in an accident repair environment.
• Strong knowledge of bodyshop processes and MET procedures.
• Previous supervisory or control experience preferred.
• Hands-on MET technician experience essential.
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to meet deadlines.
• Able to support and motivate a team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the workshop, managing workflow and productivity.
• Allocate jobs efficiently to technicians and support staff.
• Ensure all accident repairs meet quality standards and are completed on time.
• Support technicians with light MET duties as required.
• Monitor health and safety standards within the workshop.
• Maintain an organised and safe working environment.
• Liaise with customers and internal departments to ensure smooth workflow.
