Job summary

Cambridge University Press & Assessment seeks a Technical Delivery Manager to lead Workday and People Systems, driving delivery, support and improvements across HR tech platforms. You will oversee security, governance and platform reliability while guiding a team of engineers and collaborating with stakeholders across Technology and People & Culture.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on delivery, and a track record in HCM systems with agile practices.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading and developing technical teams.
• Proven experience delivering HR/Workday solutions with agile methods.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL and service management practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery, support and governance of Workday and People Systems.
• Manage a team of 6–8 engineers and collaborate with solution owners and partners.
• Ensure security, data governance and audit readiness across platforms.
• Drive ITIL-aligned incident resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee third-party suppliers and successful delivery outcomes.
• Contribute to the People Systems roadmap and release cycles.
• Maintain quality, testing, architecture and service transition standards.
• Foster strong relationships with Technology and People & Culture teams.
