Job summary

DX Group is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our service centre operations, driving performance and cost efficiency while managing staff, subcontractors and drivers. You will ensure service targets are met and quality remains high.

You will oversee facilities, equipment and consumables, delivering on budgeted targets for service, cost and quality, and you will work with the General Manager to implement an integrated, high-performing operation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the logistics or distribution industry.
• Experience of running a multi shift logistics operation.
• Experience of managing a diverse workforce including sub-contractors, self-employed drivers and PAYE drivers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage operational aspects of the service centre to meet budgeted service, cost and quality targets.
• Manage premises, equipment and consumables for cost effectiveness and high quality performance.
• Oversee the management of employed colleagues, subcontractors and owner drivers.
• Drive change to deliver an integrated service centre operation with the General Manager.
• Line manage a team in a production/logistics environment to SLA targets.
