Job summary

The RNN Group is seeking a Designated Lead to champion the educational achievement and wellbeing of care‑experienced learners across Dearne Valley College, Rotherham College and North Notts College. You will coordinate with curriculum teams and external agencies, chair ePEPs, monitor attendance and progress, and provide trauma‑informed pastoral support to students and staff.

Requirements include Level 2 English and Maths, Level 3 in health/social care or youth work, teaching qualification

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting vulnerable learners and coordinating with external agencies.
  • Knowledge of Personal Education Plans (PEP) and multi-agency work.
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills for learners and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Statutory Compliance: ensure compliance with DfE guidance and duties.
  • ePEP Coordination: chair and complete electronic Personal Education Plans on time.
  • Tracking & Monitoring: monitor attendance, retention and progress of vulnerable students.
  • Attendance Intervention: implement early intervention strategies.
  • Reporting: prepare termly/annual reports on student needs and outcomes.
  • Liaison & Partnership: maintain links with Local Authorities and Virtual Schools.
  • Policy & Admin: support policy reviews to avoid disadvantaging vulnerable groups.
