Job summary

RNN Group at North Notts College, Worksop, seeks a proactive Teaching Assistant to support learners including those with SEND. You will assist in planning, delivery, and assessment to build independence and practical skills for employability or further study.

You will help with ILPs/EHCP targets, digital learning tools like Google Classroom, and collaborate with curriculum teams across campuses. Level 3 qualification and safeguarding training are expected.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching & Learning qualification or willingness to obtain it.
• Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE C/4+).
• Up-to-date Safeguarding, Prevent, and Diversity & Inclusion.
• Current First Aid certificate or willingness to work toward.
• Commitment to ongoing CPD.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and delivery of teaching, learning, and assessment.
• Supervise learners, ensuring safety, inclusion, and wellbeing.
• Help implement ILPs and EHCP targets for individuals.
• Break down skills and support progression to independence.
• Assist with digital learning tools and resources in class.
