Job summary

Leonardo UK in Edinburgh seeks a Lead Supportability Engineer to guide a team delivering comprehensive supportability work across the lifecycle. You will collaborate with project managers, operations and engineering to ensure robust reliability, maintainability and safety analyses.

We value proven leadership, cross-disciplinary influence, and mentoring of junior engineers, with experience in DFx, FMEA/FMECA and production support. Hybrid working available.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or science.
• Experience leading and developing teams.
• Commercial and business awareness.
• Experience in engineering management and delivery of project work packages.
• Ability to manage complex situations with sound judgement.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Supportability Engineers delivering a wide range of work packages.
• Advise on Supportability requirements and provide analysis.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices.
• Develop in-service support strategies and through-life cost models.
• Collaborate with IPTs across functions to reduce lifecycle cost and risk.
