Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking an Electronics Engineer – Supportability in Edinburgh. You will analyse, assess and improve the supportability characteristics of our products throughout their lifecycles, delivering RM&T work packages and driving cost-effective, reliable solutions.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to product roadmaps while developing responsible support strategies for complex defence and aerospace systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or science-related discipline.
• Experience in defence, aerospace or similar technical environment.
• Knowledge of reliability, maintainability and through-life engineering.
• Ability to apply analytical techniques and modelling to complex electronic systems.
• Familiarity with cross-functional engineering teams and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of RM&T analysis, support strategy development and modelling activities.
• Apply analytical techniques to assess integrated electronic systems.
• Collaborate with Systems, Electronics, Mechanical, Software, RF and Safety Engineers to resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain support strategies aligned with customer operational requirements.
• Provide guidance on through-life cost of ownership and support considerations.
• Support customer engagement and contribute to future product roadmaps.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce risk, cost, and operational impact.
