Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Associate Structural Engineer and Team Lead in Exeter to establish and grow a new structural engineering capability within our Building Structures practice. You will lead, mentor and deliver complex building structures projects while steering a talented team across the Southwest and wider UK.

You will be Chartered as a Civil or Structural Engineer and bring a proven record of project delivery, client engagement and bid/tender activity to drive growth and success for

Qualifications

• Significant experience directing building structures projects from concept through construction.
• Strong client relationship and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Proven ability to lead and grow a structural engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Establish, develop and grow the structural engineering team in Exeter.
• Provide technical guidance and assurance across structural projects.
• Steer multidisciplinary project design management with quality, programme and commercial outcomes.
• Review calculations, drawings and specifications to ensure deliverables meet standards.
• Develop engineers’ technical capability and career progression within the team.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture and lead work-winning activities.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients.
