Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Cardiff seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to join the Building Structures Team. You will deliver multiple projects to programme, manage designs for a diverse client base and mentor junior staff, while upholding BIM standards and safety.

You will work on buildings and infrastructure projects across sectors, with opportunities across the UK and potential for growth. The role emphasizes innovation, sustainability and ethics in delivery.

Qualifications

• Working towards Chartered Engineer MIStructE or MICE.
• Experience leading structural delivery on small/medium projects.
• Design experience of common structural materials; familiarity with standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver multiple projects or parts of larger projects to completion, within budget and to programme.
• Ensure the provision of efficient high quality structural engineering design.
• Apply wide range of building structure knowledge to various projects.
• Adhere to BIM standards, Digital Plan of Work and BIM Execution Plan.
• Be the main point of contact for clients, contractors and design teams.
• Mentor and guide junior team members where possible.
• Manage own time effectively when handling multiple projects.
• Lead small project teams and report to the team leader.
• Build client relationships and identify possible business opportunities.
• Security clearance may be required and discussed at interview.
