Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Cardiff is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the delivery of building structures projects within the Buildings & Places team. You will manage projects, maintain client relationships and mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with BIM standards and project plans.

The role offers opportunities to work on diverse local projects across the UK, with a blend of technical delivery and stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications

• Aspiring or progressing towards Chartered Engineer status (MIStructE or MICE).
• Experience leading the structural delivery of small/medium projects within budgets and deadlines.
• Proficiency with structural analysis/design software (Tekla Structural Designer and/or Robot Structural Analysis).

Responsibilities

• Deliver multiple projects or parts of larger projects to completion within budget and schedule.
• Ensure efficient, high-quality structural engineering design.
• Be the first point of contact for clients, contractors and design teams.
