Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Birmingham is seeking a Chartered Engineer to lead structural delivery on building projects across Education, Commercial, Residential and more. You will manage small teams, guide design from concept to construction, and maintain rigorous BIM and technical standards.

You will engage with clients and multidisciplinary teams, drive design quality and project delivery, and help grow the business with proactive, hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer status or near chartership.
• Proven ability to lead structural delivery on small to medium projects.
• Experience designing with common structural materials and current standards.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proactive mindset with ownership and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Deliver multiple projects or components to programme and budget.
• Produce and oversee high-quality structural designs.
• Apply technical expertise across a broad range of building structures.
• Ensure compliance with BIM standards, Digital Plan of Work, and BIM Execution Plans.
• Act as a key contact for clients, contractors and design teams.
• Lead and mentor project teams.
