Job summary

Loungers is hiring a full-time Sous Chef for Ontano Lounge, a local café bar and part of a growing casual dining group. You’ll lead kitchen shifts, support the Head Chef and drive consistent, high-quality dishes across every service.

Expect a 48-hour contract (40-hour option), overtime pay, and an achievable bonus scheme. 50% staff discount from day one across all Loungers brands, plus progression pathways and in-house training programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen shifts with confidence, ensuring smooth service from prep to plating.
• Support Head Chef and cover in their absence to maintain strong results.
• Set and uphold high standards on the pass for quality, pace, cleanliness, hygiene and safety.
• Own key routines: prep, par, stock control, waste, orders, and shift handovers.
• Coach and develop the kitchen team to deliver great food each shift.
