Job summary

The Oxford Centre for Enablement is seeking a part-time Speech and Language Therapist (0.6 WTE) to cover neurorehabilitation and AAC teams. You will assess, intervene and rehabilitate adults with complex brain injuries and long-term neurological conditions, and help lead service development.

Two days per week at the Centre and one day in the community delivering AAC across Oxfordshire. HCPC registration and relevant experience are essential for the post.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is essential.
• Experience with adults with complex neurological conditions and/or AAC.
• Part-time availability (0.6 WTE) is required.

Responsibilities

• Specialist assessment and management of adults with complex communication disorders and dysphagia after brain injury or neurological illness.
• AAC assessment and intervention across Oxfordshire.
• Independent clinical decision-making and prioritisation of caseloads.
• MDT participation and support for therapy planning and discharges.
• Clinical teaching and supervision of staff and students.
• Contribute to audit, quality improvement and service development.
