Job summary

The Laurels in Lincoln, part of Active Neuro within Active Care Group, is recruiting a Senior Speech and Language Therapist to lead the Speech and Language Therapy service on a part-time basis, two days per week. You will assess, treat, and manage complex neuro conditions, delivering evidence-based interventions and coordinating with the MDT.

You will be HCPC registered, experienced in neurological rehabilitation, and capable of autonomous management of a specialist caseload, developing service

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist with experience in neurological rehabilitation.
• Ability to assess, treat and manage complex communication and swallowing needs.
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) and developing treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a specialist caseload and develop/monitor individualised treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions for patients with neuro conditions such as aphasia and dysphagia.
• Assess eating, drinking and communication needs and communicate recommendations to patients and carers.
• Lead the development and management of the SLT service and contribute to service improvements.
• Collaborate with the MDT and provide specialist guidance/training to colleagues.
