Job summary

The Oxford Centre for Enablement invites applications for a Band 5 speech and language therapist within its specialist neurorehabilitation team. This NHS post focuses on adults with acquired swallowing and communication disorders, mainly after brain injury or long-term neuro-disability, across inpatient and outpatient settings.

The role includes working extended hours and weekends as required, with opportunities for supervision, training and professional development within a supportive MDT

Qualifications

• Recognised SLT degree or equivalent.
• HCPC registration required to apply.
• Experience relevant to acquired swallowing/communication disorders.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage a caseload of adults with swallowing and communication disorders.
• Deliver evidence-based SLT interventions.
• Supervise students and SLT assistants when required.
• Offer extended hours and weekend shifts as needed.
• Contribute to audits and service development.
