Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is offering a Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist post in the Neurorehabilitation team at the Oxford Centre for Enablement (OCE). The role covers inpatient and outpatient neurorehabilitation services and requires a recognised SLT degree with HCPC registration.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care for adults with acquired brain injury and long-term neuro-disability, and contribute to teaching

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is required.
• Experience relevant to caseload through prior employment or university placements.
• Post-graduate training / courses relevant to caseload.
• Awareness of scope of practice and good reflection skills.

Responsibilities

• Use specialist clinical skills to assess and manage a caseload of adults with swallowing and communication disorders.
• Contribute to audit and service development projects within the neurorehabilitation MDT.
• Supervise students and SLT assistants as required.
• Deliver training to others and provide cover for colleagues during leave.

Education

Recognised SLT degree or equivalent
