Job summary

Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a full-time Band 7 Lead Speech and Language Therapist within the Durham and Darlington CAMHS Neurodevelopment Assessment service. You will provide clinical leadership and supervise SLT teams in Stanley and Sedgefield, assessing language needs in children up to 18 years old.

You will contribute to pathway development, quality improvement and strategic planning, and deliver training, observations and comprehensive reports

Qualifications

HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
Post-registration Masters level learning or equivalent leadership experience.
Experience in complex SLT delivery with children and young people.
Experience working in Multidisciplinary Teams.
Evidence of post-registration leadership and service development.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical leadership and supervision for CAMHS SLT teams in Stanley and Sedgefield.
Carry out observations, specialist SLT assessments and produce reports for complex presentations.
Offer consultation, training and professional guidance to the wider team and partner agencies.
Contribute to pathway development, quality improvement and strategic planning.
Support the neurodevelopment assessment service for children and young people up to age 18.
