Job summary

Speedy Group is seeking a Foreman in Erith to lead a busy service workshop. You will oversee servicing, repairs and maintenance of hire equipment, while guiding a team of service engineers and ensuring timely delivery to customers.

The role requires a strong mechanical background, experience supervising a team, and a hands-on, problem-solving approach in a fast-paced environment. This position emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and technical knowledge.
• Experience supervising or leading a team.
• Engineering experience within plant hire, construction equipment or similar industry.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Experience managing stock and assets.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting a team of Service Engineers.
• Overseeing servicing, repairs and maintenance.

• Prioritising workloads to keep equipment available for customers.
• Managing stock, assets and equipment counts.
• Identifying training and development needs within the team.
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety and housekeeping.
