Job summary

Speedy is seeking a Plant Engineer in Erith to perform servicing, fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance on our hire fleet. You will work with depot teams to ensure equipment is kept safe, reliable and ready for customers.

The role requires a strong mechanical background, hands-on troubleshooting of small engines, and experience with plant equipment. 40-hour week, with standard hours 07:30–16:00 on-site.

Qualifications

• A strong mechanical engineering background.
• Practical experience repairing small engines and mechanical equipment.
• Experience maintaining and repairing plant or similar equipment to high standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance across depot equipment.
• Coordinate with Drivers and Hire Desk to prioritise repairs and keep fleet safe and available.
