Job summary

Brighton MET is seeking a Senior Learning Support Assistant to lead a dedicated Learning Support team and provide high-level support to learners with SEND. You will work to improve attendance and success rates and assist the ALS Team Leader in coordinating Learning Support provision.

Applicants should have experience with 16-18-year-olds, a solid understanding of the SEND Code of Practice (2015), and strong time-management and organisational skills to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting 16-18 year olds.
• Understanding of the SEND Code of Practice (2015).
• Time management skills, organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide learners with a high level of learning support needed to achieve their programme of study.
• Focus on achieving high learner attendance and success rates, meeting targets.
• Support the ALS Team Leader in coordinating and improving LSA provision and Learning Support.
