Job summary

Randstad Education in Redhill is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work with pupils in a residential SEN setting designed for ages 6-16, including SEMH and ASC needs. This term-time, full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 08:30–16:00, with a guaranteed contract until July 2027 and daily rates of £88-£110.

Qualifications

• Be able to work with learners that have various learning difficulties.

• Have experience working in SEND settings.
• Experience working with children is essential.

Responsibilities

• To provide teaching assistance to the teacher defined according to weekly/daily/sessional planning of the teacher.
• To provide group and/or individual activities, planned by the teacher.
• To work individually with learners/students to develop work.
• To support the general well being of learners within the structure of the school.
• To monitor and evaluate learners' learning under the guidance of the teacher.
• To assist teachers in the use of relevant management strategies to ensure a purposeful environment for teaching and learning to take place.
• To support all learners in their planned structured work in all curriculum areas.

£88-£110 a day

Within the Redhill area the school is set in its own beautiful grounds. The residential special school caters for students with a range of SEN needs and has a fully enhanced curriculum. The aim of the school is to help the individual's access and progress with their independence. The school provides a fantastic holistic approach to education encompassing teaching and learning with a therapy input.

This specialised school is a non-maintained residential special school, designed to meet the educational, behavioural, care and therapeutic needs of children (age 6-16 years). The children have a range of special needs including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC).

The school is looking for a full time learning support assistant who is willing to make a difference and can engage students in their primary unit.

Hours: Monday-Friday 08:30-4pm

This is a term time only role.
