Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support students in achieving their academic, social and emotional potential within a positive school environment.

You will work with pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis, assist with lessons, monitor progress, and contribute to safeguarding and inclusion. Experience with SEND and a willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with SEND including ASD, ADHD, SEMH or speech and language needs.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support students in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and learning activities.
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion at all times.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff.
• Assist with classroom preparation, displays, and administrative duties.
• Support students during breaktimes, school trips, and extracurricular activities where required.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals.
