Job summary

The Priory Primary School is seeking an excellent teacher to join and help lead our SEND Hub, supporting pupils with complex communication needs and autism. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality inclusive education and a nurturing learning environment.

You will plan ambitious, personalised learning, adapt teaching to individual needs, and work with our Inclusion Leader to develop provision for pupils with complex needs.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience of working with pupils with SEND, complex communication needs and/or autism, or a strong commitment to developing expertise in this area.
• Ability to adapt teaching and curriculum approaches to meet individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Teach pupils with complex communication needs, autism and other learning needs within the SEND Hub.
• Plan and deliver high-quality, ambitious learning reflecting pupils’ starting points and EHCP outcomes.
• Create a safe, calm, structured learning environment to help pupils thrive.
• Support pupils’ communication, independence, emotional regulation and academic development.
• Assess and monitor progress to inform future teaching and provision.
• Lead teaching and learning within the Hub and deploy staff effectively.
• Collaborate with Inclusion Leader and SEND team to ensure coordinated support.
• Contribute to EHCP reviews, plans and SEND processes.
