Job summary

The Priory Primary School is seeking an experienced SEND leader to take on the role of Assistant Headteacher – Inclusion. This non‑class based leadership post sits on Leadership Scale, with time and authority to shape SEND and inclusion across EYFS to Year 6.

You will inherit strong systems, a large support team and a well embedded inclusion culture, with close links to Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy and Local Authority services.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status and have senior SEND leadership experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead SEND provision and school-wide inclusion.
• Knowledge of SEND Code of Practice, EHCP processes and high-quality adaptive teaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for SEND and inclusion across EYFS to Year 6.
• Maintain overview of SEND profile, priorities and statutory responsibilities.
• Lead identification, assessment and review processes and the graduated approach.
• Oversee EHCP requests, annual reviews and related statutory processes.
• Lead the development of adaptive teaching and targeted provision.
• Coach teachers and support staff to improve outcomes.
• Manage deployment of SEND resources and collaborate with external services.
