Job summary

Captains Close Primary School is seeking a Lead SEND Class Teacher to lead the Nest provision for children aged 4-11 with Communication and Interaction needs. The role involves inclusive teaching, curriculum leadership and close collaboration with Discovery Trust specialists to support each pupil’s learning journey.

You will join a dedicated team committed to high aspirations, personalised learning and strong family partnership, with ongoing professional development and a supportive leadership

Qualifications

• Qualified to degree level including Qualified Teacher Status and Teaching experience with the age range applying for.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to be fully involved the life of the school community.

Responsibilities

• Lead specialist curriculum provision across the Nest.
• Conduct Annual Reviews.
• Review pupils' progress towards EHCP outcomes.
• Work with specialists and external agencies.
• Support consultation process and work with local authority.
• Support the professional development of support colleagues and teachers.
• Be responsible for the preparation and development of teaching materials, teaching programmes and pastoral arrangements as appropriate.
