Job summary

Belmont Castle Academy is seeking a SEND Provision Lead to head our specialist Nest Classrooms. You will shape provision, ensure outstanding support, and lead a team to deliver inclusive practice across the school.

The role requires QTS and a strong track record with pupils with SEND, including complex needs, plus experience leading staff and driving school-wide inclusion. This is a full-time post within a supportive, collaborative SLT environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice.
• Experience leading staff and developing inclusive practice.
• Ability to monitor pupil progress and drive improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development and daily operation of the specialist SEND provision (Nest Classrooms).
• Ensure high-quality teaching, learning and sensory support for pupils with additional needs.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of provision, driving continuous improvement.
• Track, analyse and report on pupil progress, attainment, attendance and wellbeing.
• Line manage and develop a team of support staff (HLTAs and TAs).
• Deliver high-quality CPD and coaching to staff across the school to strengthen inclusive practice.
• Work closely with the SENDCo, Senior Leadership Team, parents, external agencies and professionals.
• Ensure provision is compliant with statutory requirements and reflects best practice in SEND.
• Contribute to whole-school improvement and inclusion initiatives.
