Job summary

Suffolk County Council in Bury St Edmunds is seeking a Senior Reablement Support Worker to help people regain independence and stay in their own homes. You will lead frontline care delivery, mentor junior staff, coordinate with the Home First Team, and support assessment progress while working a flexible shift pattern.

The role is 37 hours per week, permanent, with a salary of £29,542 per annum (pro rata for part-time).

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Care or Care Certificate, or willingness to work towards one.
• Experience in frontline care delivery.
• Strong communication and person-centred approach.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial risk assessments with customers to manage risks.
• Act as senior contact for Reablement Support Workers, providing guidance.
• Support development of new team members through shadowing and knowledge sharing.
• Assist Home First Team Leader with delegated tasks, including medication observations and training.
• Deliver high-quality frontline care and assist with personal care when required.
• Collaborate with assessment colleagues to monitor progress and outcomes.
