Galliford Try Group is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure to lead commercial activities across a portfolio of Scottish infrastructure projects. You will oversee commercial administration, forecasting, reporting and contractual compliance, reporting directly to the Business Unit Commercial Director.

Qualifications

• Strong contract forms knowledge.
• Advanced IT skills with Excel, Word, CEMAR, Oracle.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Solid knowledge of construction processes and project management.
• First-class time and outcome management skills.
• Proven leadership and staff development experience.
• Experience in negotiation and final account settlements; MCIOB/MRICS are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial administration for a portfolio of infrastructure projects across Scotland.
• Forecasting, reporting and contractual compliance across projects.
• Produce and negotiate subcontract documentation including terms, prices and schedules.
• Manage subcontract works, interim assessments and change management.
• Issue commercial notices to Clients and Subcontractors as per contract requirements.
• Manage timely change processes including compensation event quotations.
• Produce and submit monthly applications to the Client per the contract.
• Ensure site records meet required standards with operations and engineering teams.
• Generate cost plans, detailed reports and reconciliations; track expenditures using Oracle-based systems.
